Wine test kit SL

Using the Wine Test Kit SL

The Wine Test kit SL provides an opportunity to easily determine the sulfur content and acidity of wine, which is essential for ensuring the quality of wines. Follow these steps during use:

1. Wine filling: Fill the wine to be tested up to the 0 mark on the test tube.
2. Add reagent: Add the selected reagent drop by drop to the wine, while shaking, until the sample turns permanently blue.
3. Observe Coloration: For both reagents, a final bluish color will appear. In the beginning, drip more boldly, then slow down when the first discoloration appears.
4. Reading results: The results can be read directly at the wall of the test tube. The sulfur content is measured in mg/l and the acid content in g/l.

Useful tips

• Prominent background: For easier reading, hold the test tube in front of a white background.
• Red wine test: A more accurate result can be obtained when held in front of a light source.
• Free sulfuric acid content: The recommended content is between 20-50 mg/l. For acidic wines, approach the lower value, for soft wines, approach the upper value.
• Acidity: The optimal acidity is between 6-9 g/l. Below 6, it is recommended to increase the acid content, above 9, to decrease it.

Storage and warning

Store the set in a cool, but frost-free place, at cellar temperature. Attention: The results obtained are informative and not laboratory accurate.

The Wine Test Kit SL helps winemakers better understand and control the composition of their wines, thus guaranteeing the best quality for wine consumers. An ideal choice for both amateur and professional winemakers who want to constantly check and improve the quality of their wines.
