Filter sheet Filtrox AF 31 H 60*60 cm

Handling

Use the filter sheets only in a sheet filter machine!

Carefully insert the depth filter sheet into the sheet filter! Avoid knocking, warping or crumbling of the sheets! Do not use damaged filter sheets!

One side of the filter sheets is rough and the other is smooth. Place the rough surface on the side to be filtered, the smooth on the filtered side! When inserting, make sure that the filtrate side is always facing the filtrate sheet!

Before the first filtration, wash the closed filter with 50 l/m2 of water at a filtration rate of 1.25 times. This usually takes 10-20 minutes depending on the type of screening. To avoid leaks, check the filter at maximum operating pressure.

The filter plate is exhausted if the difference in pressure between the inlet and outlet fluid exceeds a certain value (1-1.5 bar depending on porosity and use). In certain uses, it is possible to regenerate the sheets.

Cleaning

The high performance reserves of the FIBRAFIX depth filter sheets can be used well if the filter sheets are washed back with softened water in an aqueous medium. In this way, we can greatly reduce the costs of filtering. When regenerating, proceed as follows:

• Cold cleaning: in the direction of filtration, temperature: 15 °C - 20 °C Duration: approx. 5 minutes
• Hot cleaning: opposite to the filtration direction, temperature: 60 °C - 80 °C, Duration: approx. 10 minutes

Sterilization

Slightly loosen the compressed filter sheets! Make sure to sterilize the entire filter system! After the filter device has cooled down, tighten the filter plates again!

• Sterilization with steam: Steam quality: The steam must not contain foreign particles or impurities. Temperature: max. 125 °C (saturated steam) Duration: approx. 20 minutes after the steam has passed through all the valves of the filter.

• Sterilization with hot water: The flow rate must be at least the same as the filtration rate!
Water quality: The water must be soft and free of impurities. Temperature: > 85 °C
Duration: 25 minutes after the temperature has reached 85 °C on all valves. Pressure: at least 0.5 bar on the output side.

Destruction

Unused sheets can be treated as waste paper. In the case of contaminated sheets, the applicable official regulations for the filtrate must be taken into account at all times.

Storage

The depth filter sheets must be stored in their original packaging in a dry, well-ventilated place, free of foreign substances. The sheets are intended for immediate use, so they must be used within 36 months after delivery.

Filter range

5 - 12 μm, for pre-filter
