FELCO 4 pruning shears

Classic, extremely durable, very strong pruning shears. A handy, precise and reasonably priced professional shear for pruning orchards, garden and park care.

Felco 4 is one of the basic and entry-level models of quality pruning shears, which nevertheless can do almost everything, but all in the simplest way. Scissors for medium or larger men's hands, right-handed, with a central lock that can be operated with the index finger.

The handles and the blade supports are made of forged light metal, the palm and fingers are protected by a pleasant-to-touch plastic cover from the coldness of the metal body.

The blades are made of high-quality hardened steel, their tightness can be adjusted with a simple hex nut.

The support blade has a juice channel, which drains the sometimes sticky juice that flows between the blades when cutting succulent plants, so you can work continuously with these scissors.

At the base of the cutting blade, there is a wire cutting bay, so if you come across fence wire, you don't have to wear the fine blade or reach for another tool: the FELCO 4 solves it with one movement.

The caterpillar spring opens quickly and for a secure grip sufficiently restrained. These scissors make a loud snap with every cut, metal to metal; everyone hears that they work hard here. They are recommended up to a branch diameter of 25 mm, I think for a few hundred cuts per day at the most, because above that the plastic buffer that dampens the vibration would be missing.

All elements of the shears - if worn - can be replaced individually by reordering. The codes of the order can be read from the cover cardboard that can be unfolded like a folding knife or from the "exploded" diagrams on the felco.com portal, and can be checked with a mouse click on the latter.

Robust, extremely strong, professional scissors for work, at a favorable price. FELCO also produces much more comfortable, more ergonomic pruning shears, but the charm of this model lies in its simplicity.
